October Client of the Month

Congratulations Colleen! Even though you can’t see her…meet Colleen Swoop’s client of the month! Colleen wasn’t all about getting her picture taken or being nominated for client of the month - she is very humble and very kind and didn’t feel like she deserved the Client of the Month title. Well…she sure did deserve it! Colleen has been recovering from an ankle injury since June and has never given up and continues to power through her workouts and takes SIX classes a week! She is beyond deserving and an absolute pleasure to be around. I could go on and on but I will let you read what Colleen has to say about her experience at Swoop!

How did you first hear about Swoop?

I remember seeing the story of TMJ4 a few years ago when the studio opened and checked into it. Unfortunately, the schedule did not work with my work schedule so nothing more was done. Then in APR of this year (2019), my sister in law sent a text about being an instructor at a bungee studio in Philadelphia and I remembered the story. I did some on line checking and found Swoop. Since I am no longer working, I had the flexibility to make the classes. In May of 2019, I went to the studio and met with Jerelynn. I signed up for the one on one intro training and was hooked.

Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it?

This is hard -- I participate in the full body circuit, tabata, barre and bungee classes. I like the exercises that challenge me and push me to try harder. I know that I don't always do them correctly, but that just makes me want to work on improving that move, whether it be a push up, a burpee (hate them!) or a jump dive in bungee.

What achievements are you most proud of?

At this point, I don't think I have made any achievements so Jerelynn will have to answer this one.

Jerelynn here – I’ll answer this one for her 😊 Colleen should be most proud of her drive, determination, commitment and gains. For many, an injury results in “throwing in the towel” using it as an excuse not to exercise. Colleen came back as soon as she was cleared by her doctor and has been crushing her workouts every.single.time! Not to mention, she comes in SIX times per week and gives it her all in every class.

What do you like most about Swoop?

Hands down -- Jerelynn. Her patience, sense of humor, patience, understanding, patience and ability to work around limitations (I sprained my ankle and cannot do all the moves so she keeps that in mind and makes adjustments for me so that I can participate) and her patience in learning the steps and techniques is unmatched!

What advice would you give to someone on the fence about joining Swoop?

Try it! Jerelynn is amazing and it is a great experience!

What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

Biggest one currently is getting off the sprained ankle so that I can do the full movements, improving on burpees and pushing myself harder and further. Jerelynn makes me believe that I can do that! What more could you ask of an instructor? Thank you Jerelynn for your patience with me, truly appreciate that!

Thank you Colleen for being a Swooper! Keep up the great work you are an inspiration to many!!
